The aquarium sometimes closes early to host special events. If planning a late afternoon visit, please call ahead to confirm closing times.

When is the best time to visit?
September through March! Education programs are offered year ‘round but programs are almost always sold out in April through June.
How far in advance should I make a reservation?
Planning ahead helps us provide your group with the best educational experience. For the self-guided experience, 48 hours advance notice is required to receive the special rate. If you plan to dive in deeper with a class please contact us at least two weeks in advance. We will always try to accommodate groups but remember that certain times of the year fill quickly.

What is the minimum group size?
Groups of all sizes are welcome. Education group rates apply to groups with a minimum of ten visitors.
How and when do I pay?
The educator who greets your group will ask the lead teacher to stop at the ticketing desk. Have an accurate count of the number of students, chaperones, and teachers to help things go smoothly. You can pay by check, cash or credit card. You may also bring a purchase order and be billed.

Can we eat lunch there?
You may bring your own bag lunches to eat in our Café space or outside when the weather is nice. Please ask about lunch space when making your reservation as indoor space is limited.
