Elaphe gloydi
Physical features:
36-54 inches long, light brown with black splotches, yellow and black checkered belly.
Habitat:
Marshes, forests, rocky areas.
Diet:
Small mammals, frogs, birds, eggs.
Fun facts:
When threatened they secrete a strong substance which smells like the musty secretions of a fox, or vibrate their tail on the ground, making sounds like a rattlesnake.
