Physical features: Dark spots or bars on light background. Torpedo shaped body with dorsal fin close to tail. 6-10 pores on the underside of the jaw.
Habitat: Lurks in vegetated areas of clear lakes, backwaters of rivers and quiet pools.
Diet: Fish, frogs, ducklings
Fun facts: "Muskies" are known to be solitary ambush predators. They can reach a significant size of 4 or more feet.
